p.2

Feb. 7, 2012

Hi...

Since the year 2000, I've been researching, writing, and pitching to various publishers and newspapers, my work entitled: “They Don’t Call It The Golden Horseshoe for Nuthin’”.

I've taken on this labour of love in order to share, (I mean brag about!!!), the good news about this area of Canada.

Specifically, I hope this work will inspire young people everywhere.

More generally, however, my goal is to enlighten the rest of the world about this “golden” area of Canada with its unique history, culture, geography, and intellectual feats (people, places, and events), which have become, not only famous, but which have enriched our entire world and future generations.

I am really proud to boast that all this enrichment has happened within the Niagara Escarpment area - our own "backyard", so to speak.

I've gathered the information from many sources over several years, but have not as yet, (until my manuscript), seen it all put together in one publication.

You'll notice as you read along, that most of the information has been quoted "verbatim" from several sites and that I have, (in order to be ethical and legal), cited all sources at the bottom of each entry so that readers can enjoy researching further any of the topics by clicking on the original website.

Anything that is in my own words will be posted in blue italics - just as I'm doing now.

I'll continue to post the facts contained in "They Don't Call It 'The Golden Horseshoe' for Nuthin'!"  on a daily basis  & I hope you'll enjoy the surprise these fun facts can bring to you as much as I have while collecting this information over the past few years.

Soooooooo, HOW is ALBERT EINSTEIN connected to Hamilton, ON?, you might ask...check out my blog tomorrow for the answer!
